NBA Trade Rumors: Cavaliers looking for 3-point shooters

NBA Trade Rumors – The Cleveland Cavaliers recently fired their general manager Chris Grant, and it looks like interim GM David Griffin wants to make an impression on the owners early. The Cavaliers have performed admirably well since the firing of Grant, and Griffin is looking to tweak the roster just a tiny bit in order to improve his team’s chances to make the playoffs.

Expect David Griffin to make some type of trade by Thursday’s deadline. The interim general manager believes the Cavs are close to a playoff team — three games out of the final spot thanks to the current four-game winning streak. Griffin also would love to have the interim title taken away from his name, and he works for an owner (Dan Gilbert) who wants his general manager to be aggressive.

There are no particular names attached to the Cavs just yet, but finding some shooters shouldn’t be that hard. Gary Neal is one player who is looking for a way out of his current situation, and he is known to be able to heat up from behind the 3-point line. Still, unless the Cavaliers are willing to make some major adjustments in the starting lineup, an incoming shooter would probably just be a role player.
