NBA Trade Rumors — The Philadelphia 76ers will almost certainly make moves before the trade deadline, and Spencer Hawes is a player who is on the market. With Joel Freeland recently going down with an injury, the Portland Trail Blazers could be looking to add some frontcourt depth, and Hawes is an option.
Joel Freeland's injury certainly opens up another potential landing spot for Spencer Hawes. Portland called the Sixers back in December.

Whether or not the Blazers decide to go for Hawes remains to be seen, but a move to the Western Conference powerhouse would make sense. This season Portland’s offense has been fantastic, even though Robin Lopez is not an excellent offensive player. If Hawes was to be inserted into the starting lineup, his presence and threat from 3-point range could further spice up the offense, creating more space for both Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge.
The Blazers have been surprisingly good this season, and adding a solid offensive center, who is having the best season of his career, could make them an even more serious title contender.
It’s probably safe to assume that the Sixers will be pushing hard for future first-round draft picks, which is why they could potentially be looking to package Hawes with either Evan Turner or Thaddeus Young.
