NBA Trade Rumors: Eric Gordon to Milwaukee Bucks

NBA Trade Rumors: The February trade deadline is sneaking up on us, so more and more players will see their names thrown around the rumor mill. Eric Gordon is no stranger to trade rumors, and his name is one that will likely be heard quite a bit over the next week or so. According to Gary Woelfel, the Milwaukee Bucks is a potential destination for the New Orleans Pelicans’ shooting guard.

The Bucks have been abysmal this season, so it’s only natural that they would be interested in making moves. The Pelicans have been in a similar boat, as their postseason aspirations quickly withered down to a distant dream. Ever since signing Gordon to that huge extension, the consensus around the league has been that New Orleans would love to get rid of his contract.

So, what could the Bucks potentially offer the Pelicans? They do have the necessary assets to make salaries match, but with Gordon staying healthy and playing somewhat better of late, it’s hard to find a mutually beneficial deal. Larry Sanders is another player who signed a huge contract, but has been criticized quite a bit for his off-court antics since then. Sanders is still a talented player, and pairing him with Anthony Davis would make up the best shot-blocking frontcourt in the NBA. In this hypothetical scenario, the Bucks would most likely try to include one of their own bad deals, such as the O.J. Mayo or Zaza Pachulia contracts.

Whether or not the two teams eventually pick up the phone and engage in potential negotiations remains to be seen.

I love it. Eric Gordon for Larry Sanders and OJ Mayo or Gary Neal, whomever they would prefer, plus the Pelicans 1st round pick in 2015/2016.

John Henson for one of the Suns multiple 1st round picks.
We need the 1st though in order to make this work.

Bucks then have the #1 overall pick+the #9 overall pick.
    2014-Draft-1st overall- C (7′)Joel Embiid-Kansas
    2014Draft-~15th overall- PG(6’5) Zach Levine-UCLA
    2014 2nd Rd 1st- SF(6’7) Rondae Hollis-Jefferson-AZ
    2014 2nd Rd 15th- SG(6’5) Nik Stauskas- Michigan
    2015-(Likely a top 10 pick)- C(7′)Karl Towns Kentucky
    2015-2nd Rd- SG(6’7)Damien Inglis France
2014 1st-Embiid is a Hakeem type athletic freak. Could be THEE dominant C in the NBA for the foreseeable future.
2014 20th Overall-Levine is a guy who’s slipped and is now projected to go around 20. But he’s an incredible athlete and is capable of playing the point, but has been playing SG for UCLA. Long, incredible defender.
2014 2nd-Rondae Hollis-Jefferson 6’7 athletic point forward with big upside, and downside.
2014 Mid 2nd rounder-Nik Stauskas 6’5 SG. Incredible shooter from Michigan. One dimensional. But a great shooter.
2015-Top 10 Pick-Karl Towns is a 7′ who is very raw, but a very good passer, and has a great shot. A stretch 4.
2015-2nd Rd Pick-Damien Inglis 6’7 player from Europe. Another athletic wing player to add.
Sanders, Henson, Neal and Mayo are all traded as the Bucks have started over in my dream scenario.

    Lineup
    PG-Zach Levine/Nate Wolters/Brandon Knight
    SG-Eric Gordon/Khris Middleton/Nik Stauskas
    SF-Giannis Antetokounmpo/Rondae Hollis-Jefferson/Damien Inglis
    PF-Karl Towns/Ersan Ilyasova/Epke Udoh
    C-Joel Embiid/Miroslav Raduljica/Zaza Pachulia

Fucking ridiculous, I know, but all those players are projected to be drafted ABOUT where the Bucks will be picking. Plus it’s a LONG, athletic, defensive team that can get to the rim at will.

And we might end up with one of these players.

Love this Scott, it’s more like the Bucks give the Pelicans a 1st round pick. Gordon is the proven commodity in this deal.
