Brandon Bass drawing interest from three teams
At this stage of the season, with just over a week to go until the trade deadline, just about every single one of the Boston Celtics’ players have seen their names in various trade rumors — and for good reason. Celtics GM Danny Ainge has been in a trigger-happy mood this season in terms of making trades, and he still has quite a few players that could land him future assets. One of those players could be Bass, who is apparently drawing interest from three teams in particular.
Brandon Bass has had his name tossed about in trade rumors a number of times during his NBA career.
Charlotte, Golden State and Phoenix are reportedly teams that have interest in Bass.
“You can’t let that affect your game,” Bass told CSNNE.com earlier. “You just have to go out and play your game, do what you do and whatever happens, happens.
The Charlotte Bobcats have been pointed out at buyers at this point in time, and if they can’t get hold of any better talent, Bass could potentially be an acceptable addition.
While the Golden State Warriors are not believed to be actively looking for trades, the team’s GM Bob Myers has also said that if the right deal comes along that could make his team better, he would certainly give it a thought. The Warriors’ bench has been abysmal this season, and Bass could help out with that.
Finally, we have the Phoenix Suns, who have their targets set on impact players, and are reportedly interested in Pau Gasol or Rudy Gay. If neither one can be had, the Suns would likely still look for players that could make the team better before the deadline, so Bass is obviously worth a consideration.
