NBA Trade Rumors — The Philadelphia 76ers are shopping Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young and Spencer Hawes, but it seems that the team is struggling to find a satisfying deal for Turner. However, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Phoenix Suns are being pointed out as two potential destinations for the former No. 2 overall pick.
On Monday, the Sporting News reported the Sixers are shopping Turner, but having trouble finding any serious offers for him. They mentioned the Suns and Thunder as two possible destinations for the fourth-year pro.
Thunder seems like a bit of a peculiar destination for Turner, as the team really doesn’t need another small forward, and it’s very unlikely OKC would be offering anything of interest in return for the 25-year-old.
The Suns, on the other hand, seem like a pretty good spot for Turner. Phoenix has made it clear that the team is looking to get better before the trade deadline, and they are equipped with a lot of first-round picks which can be thrown in to spice up a potential offer.
P.J. Tucker has been a pretty good fit in this current Suns team, but Turner would obviously be an upgrade, at least offensively. The Suns are also pursuing Pau Gasol, so if Turner is in their radar, he is certainly not the only player they are looking at.
