Los Angeles Lakers: Nash, Blake, Farmar back in action

The Los Angeles Lakers’ backcourt has been severely depleted due to injuries this season, and the team had to sign Kendall Marshall to fill in for the missing players. However, moving forward Marshall’s spot in the rotation will change quite a bit, as Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar will all be returning to the lineup on Tuesday.

Nash is obviously the most interesting name, as he has battled severe injury woes ever since suffering a fracture early last season. This year, Nash has appeared in just six games early in the season. In his absence, both Blake and Farmar have actually been very solid contributors to the team, but neither could stay healthy.

Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, remains on the shelf and will be missing the All-Star game. His knee is not fully healed, although he is expected to come back this season.

In the middle of all the lineup changes, Pau Gasol could potentially be traded to the Phoenix Suns once he returns from his minor injury.
