1990 – In a 120-111 victory over the Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers coach Pat Riley won his 500th career game. He won 500 games in the fewest number of games all-time. The current Miami Heat team president has 1,210 coaching victories, the fourth-most in NBA history.
