Last season we brought you a list of the 30 most overpaid NBA players. Fast-forward to this year and some of the terrible contracts have expired, while new and perhaps equally bad ones have been inked.
This time around, you’ll find some of the familiar faces from last season, but the rules are a little different. First of all, players who are on expiring contracts mostly get a pass in this list. This means that guys who earn the big bucks but have half a season left on their deal are essentially immune. This automatically excludes the likes of Emeka Okafor, Kevin Garnett, Ben Gordon and Paul Pierce, who are examples of players who are not quite playing up to their contracts this season.
Naturally, players who are on bad long-term deals are also prioritized. The list is in no particular order.
