NBA Trade Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers packaging Hawes and Turner

The Philadelphia 76ers have a bunch of movable assets and it is only to be expected that a tanking team is looking to get worse. The three most popular names in the rumor mill have been Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes and Evan Turner. The latest word is that the Sixers are picking up steam as we get closer to the trade deadline and will be looking to package Turner and Hawes into one deal.

Sources have expressed to Liberty Ballers that Philadelphia is stepping back from any trade negotiations for Thaddeus Young, and attempting to push a package of Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes. The source also went on to say that a few teams have shown interest, although rather minute, and no deal is close to imminent.

Obviously, Young also carries an immense amount of trade value and it’s not out of the question that he is moved in a separate deal, but it looks like the Sixers are trying to fly Hawes and Turner out of town on the same plane. To help their tanking ambitions, they’d probably look for first-round draft picks in return for their duo.
