NBA Trade Rumors — At this point it’s no secret that the Denver Nuggets are looking to get rid of Andre Miller and his name has been connected with several different teams. It seems that the Sacramento Kings have a somewhat formal offer on the table for the Nuggets — either Marcus Thornton or Jimmer Fredette.
The Kings continue to be the most aggressive potential suitor for the Nuggets’ Andre Miller, offering three separate potential deals for the disgruntled point guard, league sources told CBSSports.com.
The Kings have offered Marcus Thornton and a future second-round pick as the framework of a deal for Miller, and have presented a package including Jimmer Fredette and a future second as an alternative, two people familiar with the scenarios said Wednesday.
It’s questionable whether the Nuggets can find a better deal for the 37-year-old point guard, although neither Fredette nor Thornton have been spectacular this season. Jimmer is probably a better option, as he still has some upside and doesn’t carry that much of a financial risk, as he will become a free agent next summer and would save Denver some money.
