On This Date in NBA History: January 4, Al Jefferson was Born

1985 – Happy 29th birthday to Charlotte Bobcats forward/center Al Jefferson who is in his 10th NBA season. He was drafted 15th overall by the Boston Celtics in 2004. After Jefferson spent his first three seasons with the Celtics, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves as a part of a package for Kevin Garnett. Then, after three years with the Timberwolves, Jefferson was traded to the Utah Jazz for Kosta Koufos and a few draft picks. After three seasons with the Jazz, his contract ended, and he found his fourth NBA home this past offseason.
