NBA Trade Rumors

With less than two months remaining until the February trade deadline, the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to bolster their roster with another big man. Despite the fact that Kevin Love has been healthy all season long and the Wolves have seemingly left the major injury woes behind them, the team currently sits just outside a playoff spot with a 16-16 record.

The Timberwolves, last in the league in opponent field goal percentage (.475), also are looking for frontcourt help in the form of an athletic rim protector, sources say.

As far as rim protectors go, only real name that comes to mind is Omer Asik. Assuming the Wolves are not interested in moving Nikola Pekovic, Asik is probably out of the team’s price range and the Houston Rockets are rumored to be keeping him anyway.

More names will probably pop up the closer we get to the trade deadline, but having another big who can provide some solid defense would certainly not hurt Minnesota.
