Andrew Bynum suspended indefinitely

Cleveland Cavaliers center, Andrew Bynum, has been suspended by the organization due to conduct detrimental to the team. General Manager, Chris Grant, announced the suspension today.

Bynum did not travel with the ball club to Boston. The length of his suspension is not known. He will be removed from all basketball activities indefinitely.

Adrian Wojnarowski, from Yahoo Sports, tweeted that it might be Bynum’s commitment to the sport may have something to do with the suspension. His source told him that, “He [Bynum] doesn’t want to play basketball anymore. He never liked it that much in the first place.”

Wojnarowski’s sources also tell him that it is possible Bynum has suited up in the Wine and Gold for the final time. The Cavs will try and shop Bynum but combine his degenerative knees and his lack of commitment to the sport, it will be interesting to see if any team will want him.

The Cavaliers get set to take on the Celtics, today at 1 p.m. and they will do so with a new starting center. Presumably, Anderson Varejao will start in his place. The absence of Bynum also means Tyler Zeller will see more court time, something Coach Brown was hoping for.
