NBA Trade Rumors

The Houston Rockets are expected to move Omer Asik within 24 hours, and the Boston Celtics seem to be one of the most likely destintations for the Turkish big man. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the talks between the Celtics and the Rockets are gaining traction.

At this point, it’s hard to make anything of the Asik rumors. We know he will be moved, but there have probably been 10 or more teams that have been linked with him in the last couple of days.

Despite conflicting reports left right and centre, the general consensus is that the Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers are the two most likely destinations for Asik.

The deal is likely to be one between three teams. According to Wojnarowski, the deal that Boston and Houston have discussed so far involves Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee and a future first-round pick. The Celtics are now loaded with draft picks after moving Garnett and Pierce, so throwing one into a deal for Asik shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
