NBA Trade Rumors
If you could choose a year for your team to tank, this would be the one. With the likes of Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker entering the 2014 NBA draft, picks are highly regarded around the league. Yet the Phoenix Suns, who were supposed to be one of the worst teams in the entire league yet sit sixth in the Western Conference with a 13-9 record, are considering moving some of their picks.
The Suns, obviously encouraged by a promising start and with several attractive assets at their disposal, are making it known around the league they are open to trading one or more picks in the loaded 2014 draft if they can get an established star capable of making an impact now, NBA.com has learned.
The Suns could potentially have four first-round picks in the 2014 draft, as they have their own selection as well as first-round picks from Minnesota (top-13 protected), Washington (top-12 protected) and Indiana (top-14 protected).
Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic have somehow worked quite well and the Suns supposed tank year has turned into something completely different. Needless to say, if the Suns decide to package some of their picks, offers from around the league shouldn’t be hard to come by.
