NBA Trade Rumors

The Miami Heat are rumored to be looking for some backcourt depth while being very cautious with Dwyane Wade in the regular season and according to rumors the champs could be targeting Boston Celtics’ Jordan Crawford.

Miami is looking to deal for a young wing player who can score and take some of the load off Dwyane Wade. A few GMs have identified Boston’s Jordan Crawford as a player the Heat will go after in the coming days/weeks.

Crawford has actually been pretty good running the point for the Celtics this season. He can play on and off the ball and is shooting a career-high 37.5% from beyond the arc this season. He is also on an expiring, cheap one-year deal. In other words, he is as perfect of a fit to Miami’s role player model as you can get.

The issue here is what the Heat can actually offer in return. The Celtics would likely demand draft picks and young players with potential. Looking across Miami’s roster, it’s hard to find a single tradable asset that would interest Boston.
