Terrible news New Orleans Pelicans and NBA fans: Anthony Davis has suffered a non-displaced fracture in his hand in the first half against the New York Knicks.
Anthony Davis suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left hand. He will not return tonight. A timetable for his return is TBD

Up until this point, Davis was having a true breakout season. He improved immensely since his rookie season and was a serious All-Star contender, averaging 19.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game.
The Pelicans had playoff aspirations this season after making a big move for Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans in the offseason, but this will make the road a whole lot tougher. It is still uncertain how much time Davis will miss, but the Pelicans are already 13th in an extremely competitive Western Conference with a 7-8 record going into the game against the Knicks.
