Al Jefferson has struggled to stay healthy for the Charlotte Bobcats this season and has only played in three games so far. He has been bothered with by an ankle problem, but will return to action on Friday, as the Bobcats will be hosting the Phoenix Suns.
Al Jefferson will play — and start vs. Suns tonight, assuming he continues to feel as good as he was at shootaround

Big Al was this summer’s big acquisition for Charlotte, but he has not gotten off to a very good start. In the three games that he has played in this year, Jefferson is shooting 40.4% from the field and putting up 15 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists, in 30.3 minutes per game.
Jefferson has missed his team’s last four games, but will be under no minute restrictions according to Rick Bonnell. Bobcats head coach Steve Clifford seems inclined to test Jefferson’s limits and see how much he can handle, rather than imposing a predetermined minute limit on his big man.
Even without Jefferson in the lineup, the Bobcats have done very well and are holding onto a 6-6 record. The Phoenix Suns also got off to a surprisingly good start, but have lost four in a row entering Friday.
