Rajon Rondo is still going through his rehab process after suffering a torn ACL last season. It’s still uncertain when he will be back on the floor and he doesn’t want to rush it, but he has had some progress and is participating in some contact drills already.

“I’m anxious to get back out there, but I want to take my time, make sure this knee is healed 100 percent. I don’t want to rush back and have any second surgeries or get anything drained out of my knee. … I’m participating in some contact drills here and there, and as of now I’ve had no swelling, and I’m feeling pretty good.”

Rondo’s name has been thrown around the trade rumor mill as well, as some executives around the league seem to believe that Danny Ainge will make his All-Star point guard available once he is back on the floor. Ainge himself has denied it and seems intent to build around the floor general rather than moving him before the trade deadline.
