Kobe Bryant was recently cleared for basketball activities and is now participating in Los Angeles Lakers’ practices. However, Bryant missed Thursday’s practice due to some soreness.
.@kobebryant had the day off from practice today. Was a little sore from the past two days, just taking it slow and being cautious.

It really isn’t surprising that Bryant is experiencing soreness after practicing two days in a row. He has not been on the court since April and getting a 35-year-old body back into playing shape naturally takes time.
Lakers Nation have released a couple of videos of the team’s recent practices, and, all things considered, Kobe looked pretty good. From what can be seen in the highlights, Bryant was mostly playing around the perimeter and looking to set up his teammates.
He has remained adamant in interviews that he still needs time to figure out his limitations and he will not force himself to do things he is no longer physically capable of doing. One of those adjustments could potentially mean that Bryant will have to become more of a distributor and playmaker than he usually is, although it’s hard imagining him not being the primary scoring option for the Lakers.
