2004 – After Ron Artest, now Metta World Peace, gave a relatively hard foul on Ben Wallace with the game already decided, Wallace violently pushed Artest back. Then, arguably the worst NBA brawl occurred, which was coined as the “The Malice in the Palace.” Nine players were suspended, including Ron Artest (83 games), Stephen Jackson (30), Jermaine O’Neal (15), Ben Wallace (6) and Anthony Johnson (5). Artest’s suspension was the longest in NBA history for an infraction not related to drugs or gambling.
