NBA Trade Rumors – The New York Knicks are struggling in a major way right now and have been in all kinds of trade rumors. Just last week, it was reported that the Knicks were pushing Iman Shumpert out of the door in an attempt to land Kenneth Faried. A recent report also suggested that New York was out to land Rajon Rondo, something that Boston Celtics GM Danny Ainge will not allow.

Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said Monday that he has not received any inquiries from other teams interested in acquiring Rajon Rondo.

Ainge’s comments come on the heels of what seems like an annual tradition – trade rumors involving the Celtics’ All-Star point guard, the latest one involving the New York Knicks.

Yet Ainge said he hasn’t heard from any team about Rondo – and Ainge said he doesn’t expect that to change, either.

Ainge believes that all 29 teams around the league are aware of how much the team loves Rondo and that no one will even give him a call. I wouldn’t be so confident about that. Obviously, the Celtics are rebuilding and essentially tanking. If Rondo comes back strong and shows that he is the same player he was before he picked up his knee injury, it wouldn’t be surprising if Ainge tried to cash in.

As for the Knicks, they seem to be very keen to move Shumpert. It’s also been rumored that they really want to push Amar’e Stoudemire’s contract on the Celtics and that Boston wouldn’t even consider it unless New York takes the Celtics’ bad contracts in return.
