NBA Trade Rumors – The rumor mill around the league has been relatively quiet lately, but the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets could change that. It seems that the trade talks, involving a Kenneth Faried for Iman Shumpert swap, are gaining momentum.

Talks between the Knicks and Nuggets centered around a deal that would send Iman Shumpert to Denver for forward Kenneth Faried have intensified in recent days, the Daily News has learned.

According to a league source, no deal is imminent, although the struggling Knicks feel they need to make a move to bolster their banged-up front court.

It seems that the Knicks are looking to add depth to their injury-plagued frontcourt, as Tyson Chandler will miss at least a month of NBA action. Meanwhile, the Nuggets have been rumored to be shopping Faried for a while now, and would get a three-and-D guy in Shumpert.

Faried has become a fan favorite in Denver for his hustle and energy, but it seems that the Nuggets want to improve a shaky defense by getting a reliable perimeter defender in return for Kenneth’s services.
