3. San Antonio Spurs (No Change)

The Spurs stand their ground this week and are riding a four-game winning streak after making short work of the depleted Knicks. The offense looks smooth once more, Danny Green caught fire against New York and the bench continues to prove it can step up in big games.

4. Miami Heat (Down 2)

I was all set to talk about how the Heat took down the Clippers and looked good doing so. Jeff Green decided to change that.

The Heat’s late-game strategy on Saturday night was poor and Dwyane Wade missing key free throws effectively cost them this game as Green nailed a tough, falling out of bounds three point shot over LeBron James to win on the road.

LeBron James is not playing as well as he should be. He looked sluggish and surprisingly out of shape against the Clippers before revealing he’s been battling back spasms “for a couple weeks.” He’s human! The other? That great defense is currently in the bottom ten in Defensive Rating. This shouldn’t continue especially with games against the Magic (x2), Bobcats, Suns, Bucks and Celtics before the end of the month.
