On This Date in NBA History: November 7, First Suns Game at America West Arena

1992 – At 201 East Jefferson Street in Phoenix, Arizona, the America West Arena, now known as the U.S. Airways Center (@USAirwaysCenter), hosted its first Phoenix Suns game. It was the team’s opening game of the 1992-93 NBA season. The Suns defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 111-105. Phoenix went on to the NBA Finals that season, but lost to the Chicago Bulls in six games.
