Derrick Rose is set to make his regular season home debut at the United Center against the New York Knicks Thursday evening. The Chicago Bulls superstar has had a minor neck injury, but said that he will just have to get loose and will be ready to go for tip-off.
While Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau called him a game-time decision, Rose was more specific: “Oh hell yeah, for sure I know I’m going to play. I’ve just got to get loose.”
Rose once again reassured that his knee was fine. He will look to bounce back from a season opener that was tough to swallow against the Miami Heat. Rose never really got going and put up just 12 points, four assists and one rebound, on 4-15 shooting.
Joakim Noah also expects his minutes to go up for the second game of the season. Noah himself had a tough night on the offensive end against the Heat but he did pull down double-digit rebounds.
The Knicks took care of business Wednesday evening, winning their season opener 90-83 over the Milwaukee Bucks.
