On This Date in NBA History: October 10, Kevin McHale Made his NBA Debut

1980 – Hall of Fame forward/center Kevin McHale made his NBA debut with the Boston Celtics in their 130-103 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He came off the bench to score 10 points. In McHale’s 13 seasons, he was a three-time NBA champion and seven-time All-Star. He was recently a basketball analyst for NBATV and Turner Sports, but now is the Houston Rockets head coach.
