1993 – The NBA granted an expansion franchise to the city of Toronto, Canada. The team would eventually be known as the Raptors and started playing in the league in 1995-96 season. In Toronto’s 18 seasons, they have finished with a record above .500 only four times. However, the Raptors now have Rudy Gay and the 2016 All-Star Game. That can put a feather in Toronto’s cap.
