After being limited to just five games last season, Danny Granger put in the work during the summer in order to be ready for the upcoming season. As training camp is now underway, Granger has had a chance to go through a full practice session with his teammates and is feeling great.

“For me, it went honestly better than I expected,” the All-Star forward said. “I felt great.

“I went through the whole practice. I did all the sprints. I played the whole time. I didn’t have to sit out or anything so I definitely can feel (my conditioning) coming back.”

The fact that Granger was able to go through the whole practice is a great sign for the upcoming season. The team’s head coach, Frank Vogel, echoed what Granger said, saying that he looked like his former self and played without limitations.

Moving forward, the Pacers will continue to monitor Granger’s progress and it will be interesting to see whether he will be inserted into the starting lineup or will have to come off the bench.
