Brook Lopez has an injury history behind him, and so it’s no surprise that many fans were worried when they heard that the Brooklyn Nets center would need to replace a screw in his foot this summer. But fear not Brooklyn fans — Lopez seems to be 100% healthy and ready to get the season underway.
#Nets C Brook Lopez, who had a screw replaced in his surgically-repaired right foot over the summer, says he's 100% healthy, ready for camp.

While many recognize the Nets as a potential title contender this upcoming season, the roster is still very vulnerable to injuries, especially to Lopez and Deron Williams. Lopez had a terrific 2012-13 season and for him to miss any more time would certainly be very disappointing. One way or another, the 25-year-old All-Star should have no problem starting the season healthy.
Lopez averaged 19.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game last season. He also showed improvement on defense and put up a career-high 2.1 blocks per contest. This upcoming season he will have to share the floor with former Boston Celtics players Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, which should inevitably take away some of his touches on offense.
