Andrew Bynum knew that he wouldn’t find a max contract this summer after missing the entire 2013-13 NBA season, but the Cleveland Cavaliers offered him a safe route back into action. Cavs acquired Bynum in the offseason, hoping that he could return to his All-Star form, but that seems to be far away as of right now.
According to FOX Sports Ohio, Bynum is nowhere near ready for action and will miss the entire preseason.
One source familiar with Bynum’s progress told FOX Sports Ohio that Bynum is nowhere near ready and is likely to miss the entire preseason. He could, however, give it a go early in the regular season, if not for the opener Oct. 30 vs. the Brooklyn Nets.
While it’s not surprising that it’s taking Bynum a lot of time to get back into shape, at this point any positive news would be encouraging for Cavs fans.
