The Phoenix Suns have lacked direction ever since trading Steve Nash, but pulled off a nice trade this summer which should hopefully help the franchise rebuild the team. With a lot of front office changes and new players signing with the team, Goran Dragic, who led the team in scoring last season, is excited with the direction the team is taking.
“I’m really excited with what they’re doing,” Dragic said. “I talked with [Suns General Manager] Ryan [McDonough]and [Head Coach] Jeff [Hornacek] a couple of times. They told me what they’re doing and how they want to do things. I think it’s awesome.”
Caron Butler has now joined the team as part of a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers, but the biggest piece of the puzzle is Eric Bledsoe. While many believe that the two will be competing for minutes, Dragic seems to appreciate Bledsoe’s physical abilities, calling him a “mini-LeBron”.
Obviously, the Suns have a long way to go to catch up to the competition in the Western Conference, but adding Bledsoe is a decent start.
