Tracy McGrady has decided to call it quits and will not be returning to the NBA for another season. McGrady joined the San Antonio Spurs towards the end of the regular season in order to help the team during the playoffs but played limited minutes.
Thank all of you who have supported me over 16 NBA seasons, 7 All-Stars, and countless exciting moments. Retiring from NBA. Stay tuned. #mac

While it’s always sad to see a legend such as T-Mac leave the league, many believe that his retirement was overdue. In the last couple of years he has spent some time as a role player for the Atlanta Hawks and the Spurs, as well as playing in China. McGrady’s career was unfortunately slowed down by injuries, but he provided some amazing memories for all the fans around the league and will not be forgotten.
His best season was the 2002-03 season, in which T-Mac averaged 32.1 points per game. He ends his NBA career with career averages of 19.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
