Anthony Bennett posted a picture on his Instagram account of him signing his first NBA contract.  However it was quickly deleted shortly after he posted it.  Tuesday afternoon the Cavaliers announced they have signed all three of their 2013 NBA Draft picks.

Bennett was the No. 1 overall selection in this year’s draft.  He did not participate in summer league for the Cavs and is recovering from shoulder surgery.  When the Cavs selected him with their top picks, he became the first Canadian-born player to ever be selected first overall in the NBA draft.

Sergey Karasev, who is a native of Russia, was selected No. 19 overall in the draft.  Karasev was at the draft in the Barclay’s Center when the Cavs selected him, but he returned to Russia and led his country to a gold medal in the World University Games.  Karasev has basketball in his genes; his father, Vasily Karasev, is a former player for the Russian international team, and currently is the head coach of Triumph Lyubertsy, a team his son use to be a member of.

Carrick Felix is the wild card of the bunch.  Not many scouts or fans knew much about Felix when he played at Arizona State but obviously Chris Grant saw something he liked.  Felix was taken in the second round (No. 33 overall) above players like Jamaal Franklin, Ricky Ledo, Ray McCallum and DeShaun Thomas.  Felix didn’t light the nets on fire when he was playing for the Cavs in summer league, but he showed Mike Brown all he needed to on the defensive end.
