Mo Williams recently signed with the Portland Trail Blazers and will complement the young stud that is Damian Lillard by coming off the bench. According to Williams himself, he had other offers on the table and could even have been a starter next season, but decided that the Blazers offered him the best opportunity to win.
Mo Williams: "I just want to win. I had opportunities to start (elsewhere)." … "… look at me as a sixth starter."

This Blazers roster doesn’t look ready for championship contention, especially considering the immense competition in the Western Conference, but the team will certainly fight for a playoff spot. The Blazers have a solid starting lineup but had the worst bench in the league last year, which is something they definitely addressed this summer.
While most playoff teams in the West also improved their rosters, the Trail Blazers added the likes of Robin Lopez, Thomas Robinson, CJ McCollum, Dorell Wright and now Williams. Without spending too much money Portland has built a significantly deeper and more competitive team which will allow the starters to stay fresh down the stretch of the season.
