NBA Trade Rumors – The Golden State Warriors are trying to shed salary to create enough cap space to sign Dwight Howard, and looking to move the contracts of Andrew Bogut, Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Warriors have engaged in trade talks, which would send Bogut to the Utah Jazz.
Out of the three guys, Bogut is the most tradable and still has some value. Despite constant injury woes, Bogut contributed to the Warriors’ postseason run and can still hold his own as a post and help defender.
The Utah Jazz already have two young big men in Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter, and with Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson both likely out of town, many hoped that the young players of the team would have a chance to grow. Adding a veteran like Bogut wouldn’t be all too bad, as he would provide a veteran presence among young guys and could play a relaxed role.
