As soon as Chris Paul notified the Los Angeles Clippers that he would sign a five-year extension, the team was willing to part ways with Bledsoe.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks reached an agreement on a three-team trade that will send J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley to Los Angeles.

The Phoenix Suns will receive up and coming point guard Eric Bledsoe and veteran small forward Caron Butler, while the Bucks will receive two second-round draft picks. The Clippers and Suns will each send one future second round pick to the Bucks.

The Suns are quickly reshaping their roster. The acquisition of Eric Bledsoe could mean bad news for point guards Goran Dragic and Kendall Marshall. It’s only a matter of time before GM Ryan McDonough puts them on the trade block.

McDonough spent a lot of time trying to acquire Eric Bledsoe. As an assistant GM with the Boston Celtics, he tried orchestrating a package revolving around Kevin Garnett.

Phoenix can’t negotiate a contract extension with Bledsoe until the deal is finalized on July 10. He’s spent time learning from Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups, now he finally gets his chance to start in this league. Many analysts expect Bledsoe to have a very bright future in the NBA.
