2001 – The NBA Board of Governors approved the move of the Grizzlies from Vancouver to Memphis for the 2001-02 season. The franchise spent six years in Canada, but never won more than 23 games in a season there. In 2012-13, the Grizzlies had a franchise-best 56 wins and made its first conference finals.
