Dwight Howard will soon become an unrestricted free agent, and rumors are saying that he is favoring signing with the Houston Rockets over staying in Hollywood and re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. As a free agent, Howard will explore every option, and the Lakers have now up this banner asking Dwight to stay:

It certainly looks a little desperate, doesn’t it? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the Rockets is a more attractive choice for Howard. Despite being able to offer him an extra year and more money, the Lakers can’t offer Howard as lucrative of a situation as the Rockets can. With Kobe Bryant sidelined for the start of the season with a torn Achilles, it will be an uphill battle for LA to make the playoffs, while Houston is one piece away from serious title contention.

What do you think about the Lakers putting up the banner, asking Howard to stay? Is it over th top, or is it the right move? Let us know in the comment section down below.
