NBA Trade Rumors – According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Clippers discussed a potential deal involving DeAndre Jordan before Doc Rivers was released and signed as the new head coach of the Clippers.
Clips, Blazers talked on DeAndre Jordan prior to Doc Rivers' hiring, sources say, but Portland interest and Jordan market value unclear now.

The Clippers were intending to trade Jordan to the Boston Celtics as part of the Rivers release, which would have landed Kevin Garnett in L.A. However, as part of the Rivers release, the Celtics and the Clippers are not allowed to trade players to each other during the whole of the 2013-14 NBA season.
It’s understandable that the Blazers are looking for a new center. JJ Hickson will likely be leaving Portland, so the team will need a new center to fill the spot. However, outside the team’s starting unit, the Blazers don’t really have any attractive assets they could trade for Jordan.
The Clippers are looking for a solid shooting guard, and the Blazers could offer a package involving Wesley Matthews, but the far more likely option is that the Clippers will trade for Arron Afflalo on draft day.
