NBA Trade Rumors – A couple of weeks ago rumors surfaced of a potential deal between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. While it wasn’t anything of substantial value, some had argued that the Cavaliers would love to land LaMarcus Aldridge, and that was reiterated in a recent ESPN report:

What are the Cleveland Cavaliers seeking in exchange for the No. 1 pick? Sources say they reached out to the Portland Trail Blazers in an attempt to land LaMarcus Aldridge for the Nos. 1 and 19 picks. The Blazers quickly rebuffed them.

The deal that was hypothetically suggested by earlier rumors was that the Cavs could send the No. 1 pick and Tristan Thompson for Aldridge, so the fact that the Blazers declined this offer from the Cavs is no surprise.

It’s been widely reported that the Cavs are overvaluing the first overall pick in all trade talks, and this offer is a perfect example of that. While Portland could potentially trade Aldridge for young pieces and draft picks, the abovementioned offer is just laughable.
