Kobe Bryant has been dominating Twitter and social media in general, and uploaded a video of himself taking his first steps without a walking boot.
After having surgery on a torn Achilles, Bryant was forced to rest and then had to wear a protective walking boot, which he got to take off on June 1. Since then, Kobe has started on his rehab programme and equipped himself with what he calls the “Medical Mamba” sneakers, designed to provide relief and take pressure of his heel and surgically repaired Achilles tendon.
In the video, which you can watch here, Kobe is taking his first steps after taking off the walking boot. In the background, a doctor is instructing Bryant how to cautiously take every step using crutches and to not put too much pressure on his heel. Kobe is expected to make a return to the floor in late 2013, presumably around December, as the recovery time for his injury is 6-9 months.
