FYI: Chris Paul got involved in this Clips-Celts debacle, that's why they are talking again. Clips cannot risk CP being unhappy on July 1st.

According to Bill Simmons, the two teams have picked up where they left off because Chris Paul, who will become a free agent this summer, had something to say about it.
Paul and Kevin Garnett are known to respect each other, and CP3 would re-sign with the Clippers this summer if this deal does happen, and both KG and Rivers end up in LA.
The deal was reported to have fallen apart, after the Clippers pulled out of negotiations. Despite the fact that the Celtics made concessions — first by giving up on asking for Eric Bledsoe as part of the deal, then agreeing not to send one of their bad contracts the other way — the Clippers refused to add another first-round pick. The Clippers were also not happy with the financial implications of the deal, as DeAndre Jordan has a $3.5 million trade kicker in his contract and Doc would have to be re-signed to a $35 million extension.
