The number one pick is supposed to grow into being the face of the franchise and ideally, lead his team to a championship.

Cleveland won’t be getting another LeBron James or Kyrie Irving this draft. However, they are likely stuck with a number one pick that no one wants.

The Cavaliers only hope at trading down, and it is an oh so small hope, is to settle for significantly less value than the pick is worth. If they can find a team that wants a talent such as Nerlens NoelBen McLemore, or Otto Porter, badly enough to surrender something of value, it is worth pulling the trigger on a deal in the name of adding surplus.
