As yet another NBA postseason is wrapping up it’s fun to take a look back and see how this current postseason compares with prior years, so we’ll be taking a look at the best postseason runs in recent NBA history. It’s limited to recent NBA history because I think making a list of “memorable” playoff runs that you have to research is somewhat disingenuous, so this is going to be limited to the playoff runs that have really stuck in my memory.

Other people may have more fond memories of that time their favourite team finally got over the hump and made it past the first round or made it to the Finals, or that time they were oh-so-close to doing so. This isn’t meant to be a definitive list, it’s just me sharing my favorites and hopefully getting you to stop and think about the playoff runs that stick out in your mind. If there is one, feel free to leave it in a comment or send me the highlights in a tweet, I’m always interested in what sticks in people’s minds and why.
