The rumors that seemed insane at first have come to reality — Jason Kidd, who is fresh out of retirement, will become the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

It does seem a bit bizarre that Kidd gets the nod from the Nets organization, especially when the team was looking for a big name to take over. While Jason is well-known in the NBA and can be considered a big name, coming to a pressured situation in Brooklyn with no coaching experience could lead to a disaster.

But, hey, let’s not judge Kidd before he has had a chance to coach. It’s certainly an interesting dynamic and I’m excited to see how the Nets players respond to Kidd as their coach, considering that he was wearing the uniform of a rival team just the other season.

While a lot of fans are skeptical and have started throwing around jokes, NBA coaches and players have already given Kidd their support through Twitter. Here are some of those reactions.
