Miami Heat 0-0 San Antonio Spurs

Time: Thursday, June 6 at 9 P.M. ET

TV Network: ABC

At: American Airlines Arena, Miami

The NBA Finals are finally upon us and the basketball spectacle starts Thursday evening. The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs will meet at the biggest stage of basketball and fight it out for the ultimate goal — the NBA championship.

Players to watch

Miami Heat - Chris Bosh hit some big shots in game 7 against the Indiana Pacers and rebounded well, but he still shot the ball poorly. He needs to regain the confidence in his shot as Miami will need his contribution to take down game 1.

San Antonio Spurs - Tim Duncan presents a mismatch for the Heat, as his offensive versatility can counteract Miami’s trap-friendly defense. If he can knock down the mid-range jumper consistently and find open shooters, the Heat could be in for a long night.

Prediction: The Spurs are well-rested and will shock the Heat by stealing game 1.
