Kevin Durant Donates $1 Million For Tornado Relief

According to Red Cross Oklahoma, Kevin Durant has donated $1 million for disaster relief. Oklahoma City was greatly affected by the tornado that struck the city on Monday.

This is obviously a terrific gesture by Durant. You might say that for a player who makes tens of millions a year, $1 million might not be that much, but it’s a substantial amount. According to SI, Durant made $26M last year, so he just donated 1/26th of his annual salary. That’s a lot.

Way to step forward Kevin!
