Phil Jackson’s new book will be launching next Tuesday, in which he does something he has rarely done in his active coaching career – compare Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. You can find some of the quotes from the book here. Judging from what Jackson says in his book, he clearly looks at Jordan as a superior player, but he turned to Twitter to clarify.

The comments in Jackson’s book have been talked about ever since the LA Times leaked some of the quotes, with Jordan and Bryant fans debating them. While it is clear that Jackson was leaning towards MJ in a lot of ways, he obviously still appreciates everything that Kobe has accomplished and he acknowledged that through Twitter.

What do you think about Jackson’s comments and do you agree? Let us know in the comment section down below.

MJ is a great player but when Kobe put up 81 on the Raptors it was magical need I say any more

I don’t see the big deal about what he said, everyone knows Jordan is better than Kobe overall, however if Kobe gets a 6 th ring and passes up MJ in career scoring, then there can be more of a debate. The one thing I think Kobe is better at than MJ is that he takes and makes harder shots.

MJ lead the Bulls to 6 titles being Batman not Robin (Scottie Pippen)! Kobe has won 5 titles with 3 of them being Robin, need I say more!!!!! Kobe is a great player no disrespect but better then MJ never not even if he wins 6!!!!! When Kobe came into the league he inheritted a much better situation than MJ, he got to play along Shaq who was already considered the best big man in the game, when Mike came in he had Orlando Woolridge and was on a bad team that he had to rejuvanate!!!!
