Andre Iguodala has the option to opt out of the last year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Knowing this, his teammate Ty Lawson turned to Twitter in order to let Iguodala know what will happen if he dares to leave the Denver Nuggets.

After being traded to the Nuggets as part of the blockbuster trade that featured Andrew Bynum and Dwight Howard, Iguodala put together a relatively successful first year with his new team. In a team without a superstar, Iggy was one of the vocal leaders on the team. He averaged 13 points, 5.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds, while also providing some stellar perimeter defense which has always been his primary attribute.
Just like all of us, Iguodala isn’t getting any younger. At the age of 29, he is expected to opt out of his remaining year and look for a long-term deal for future job security. Keeping Iguodala around is very high on Denver’s priority list of this offseason, and while he is not certain of his future just yet, Andre has not been opposed to the notion of sticking around.
